NOVA attaches great importance to the protection of your personal data and respects your privacy.
In this privacy statement, we want to provide clear and transparent information about which data we collect and how we handle personal data. We do everything we can to guarantee your privacy and therefore handle personal data with care. NOVA complies in all cases with the applicable laws and regulations, including the General Data Protection Regulation.

• process your personal data (found on your customer card) in accordance with the purpose for which it was provided, these purposes and type of personal data are described in this Privacy Statement;
• processing of your personal data is limited to only those data that are minimally necessary for the purposes for which they are processed;
• ask for your explicit consent if we need it for the processing of your personal data;
• in no case pass on personal data to other parties, unless this is necessary for the execution of the purposes for which they were provided;
• are aware of your rights regarding your personal data, would like to point this out to you and respect them.

Which personal data do we process and why?
Your personal data is processed by NOVA for the following purposes, including:
• fulfilling our legal obligations, linked to the deployment of our customers
• sending (a limited number of) newsletters and invitations for special promotions and events
• informing you personally if you have placed an order and it is available.
• to conduct personalized promotions on social media.
For the above purposes, we may request, process and store the following personal data from you:
• For the customer card: name, e-mail address and mobile phone number.
• Invoice details if you want an official invoice.
We only use the collected data for the purposes for which we obtained the data from you.
For the data mentioned below, NOVA only processes them after you have been informed, separately from other matters, about the specific objectives of that processing:
Provision to third parties
We may provide the data you provide to us to third parties if this is necessary for the execution of the purposes described above.
For example, we use third, specialized parties to whom we outsource the following tasks:
Providing the internet environment (web hosting, cloud system);
Furthermore, we will not pass on the data you provide to third parties, unless this is legally required and permitted, or we have a legitimate interest in doing so.
Retention period
NOVA does not store personal data for longer than necessary for the purpose for which it was provided or is required by law.
In concrete terms, the personal data is stored for the entire duration of the customer card (unlimited). You can have your data completely removed from our database at any time upon request via shop@novaleuven.be
Data security
Your data is carefully (physically) stored in the store and digitalized with appropriate security (password policy on all systems). We have provided this backup to restore the personal data in the event of physical or technical incidents. All persons who can access your data on behalf of NOVA are bound to confidentiality thereof.
Your rights regarding your data
You have the right to inspect and copy the personal data that relate to you. You have the right to correction and supplementation if your data is incorrect or incomplete.
You may demand that your personal data be deleted when they are no longer necessary with regard to the purposes for which they were collected or processed, when there is no longer a legitimate purpose for the processing, when you withdraw your consent regarding the processing of certain data and the organization cannot base itself on another legitimate purpose for the processing. You have the right to have the processing of your personal data restricted if you contest the accuracy of that data or if you object to the processing of the data (see below) so that the data can only be processed with your consent, for the determination, exercise or defense of legal claims or for the protection of the rights of another person.
You have the right to object to the processing of your personal data for reasons related to your particular situation, except for the personal data that are necessary for compliance with the contractual or legal obligations of the organization.
For the processing of personal data that we have obtained on the basis of your consent or via purchase via the webshop, you can withdraw your consent at any time. The processing of this data before the withdrawal of consent remains valid.

Complaints
If you have a complaint about the processing of your personal data or about the exercise of your rights, we ask you to contact us directly.

NOVA may change its privacy statement. These changes will always be communicated via the newsletter.
